Children are the true teachers of this world. Though we show them how to navigate through life from the moment they are born, they are truly the ones who educate us. They teach us about unconditional love, abundance, patience, unity, power, perseverance, cooperation and the true meaning of affluence.

The name Adisa originates from the Ashanti region in Ghana, and means “One Who Will Teach Us”. The Adinkra symbols used in our logo also originate from the Ashanti region - a true reflection of the culture, tradition and entrepreneurial flair radiating through its creators and users, the Akan people of Ghana. Each symbol has its own name, meaning and significance. The three which resonate with us reflecting on the name Adisa are:

• Funtunfunefu-Denkyemfunefu – Symbol of Democracy & Unity

• Boa Me Na Me Mmoa Wo – Symbol of Cooperation & Interdependence.

• Bese Saka – Affluence, Power, Abundance, Plenty, Togetherness & Unity

 

The significance of these symbols coupled with the power behind the name Adisa is what led the Australian-born Ghanaian, La Toya Amankwatia to choose the name ADISAA for this brand.

 

Our minis of today are truly the way of the future and investing in them is the best thing we can do. In our view, there is no better way to start & display this, than through our love and passion for kids, hair and beauty. This is what ADISAA was founded on.
